Three season interest begins with clusters of white flowers in spring, then long lasting black berries in summer, followed by wine-red fall color. Great for mass plantings. The plant does sucker and will form colonies unless you dig them out each year. It grows well in wet or dry conditions, and is deer resistant. Good food source for birds. Plant in full sun to part shade, where it will grow 3-4' tall with a spread of 4-5'. Hardy to Zone 3.
