The Elmo American Persimmon is a hand-pollinated cross of Golden Supreme and Garretson Persimmon. It was selected for its heavy bearing, reliable crop of large fruits resistant to both pests and diseases. In Fall, enjoy harvesting large, orange, flavorful fruit with no black spots. Persimmons are red-orange and have a sweet flavor. Creamy yellow buds open to large fruit accompanied by vibrant green leaves. Persimmons have the taste of fall and pair well with warm spices. Elmo American Persimmons are sweeter and ripe, ready to be eaten immediately after picking. This tree grows 35-60' tall in full sun and is hardy to Zone 4.
