Diospyros v. 'Garretson' GRAFT #3

The small to medium-sized fruit is a rich orange color, soft with good flavor and small seeds. The Garretson American Persimmon is known for its high yields. It is exceptionally cold hardy, and one of the earliest varieties to ripen. Persimmons bring the taste of fall, paring well with warm spices. This tree can grow 35-60' tall in full sun. Another variety is needed for cross pollination. Some good options include 'Elmo', 'I-94', and 'Yates'. Hardy to Zone 4.
