Diospyros v. 'Yates' GRAFT #3

This fast-growing variety is pest- and disease-resistant. When fruit is soft and completely mature, it features a sweet, apricot-like flavor. Native to Indiana, 'Yates' is cold-hardy and heat-tolerant. Tree reaches 35-50' tall. Ripens in early September. 'Yates' has the ability to self-pollinate. Grows best in full sun and is hardy to Zone 4.
