Malus 'Purple Prince' #15

A tree for all seasons, this early-blooming classic greets spring with rosy-red flowers. Purple-tinted leaves soon follow, maturing to deep purple and warming to regal bronze green in summer. An abundance of tiny, 1/2 inch maroon fruits persists into winter, providing seasonal interest until harvested by hungry birds. The crabapple grows 20 feet tall and wide in full sun to part shade. Hardy to Zone 4.
