Rough Blazing Star has 3/4" round, purple-pink flowers that sit along the sides of the stems at varying intervals. The flowers form loose spikes that attract songbirds, hummingbirds, butterflies, bees and parasitic wasps, blooming in August-September. It prefers dry soils, once established.
