Woodland Phlox is an excellent native for woodland settings. Blue flowers rise above smooth foliage in mid to late spring. Plants can be sheared after flowering for better habit. Attracts butterflies and other pollinators. Likes moist but well drained soil, but is drought tolerant, once established. Best in part shade. Grows 12-18" tall and wide. Hardy to Zone 3.
