Pinus m. 'Kalous' #6

The irregular, dense branches of ‘Kalous’ mugo pine bristle with curved pairs of short, thick needles that radiate with bold bright green color. Rich red-brown buds in winter add an extra zing of contrast. This rare Mugo pine, which originated in the Czech Republic and grows just 2-3” per year, requires no shearing to maintain a compact size and its unique personality shines when left unpruned. Full to mostly sun. Garden size is 2' tall and wide. Hardy to Zone 2.
