A species hosta with large, shiny, dark green leaves. It is especially valued for its dark purple flowers in July. Grows 22" tall and 48" wide. I is a good grower that makes a good specimen plant, but also makes an excellent groundcover in a mass planting. The flower show with the dark green background is supurb.
