Malus Royal Raindrops® MS #7

Multi-stemmed form of this popular variety. Royal Raindrops® is our go-to choice for pink flowering crabs. Foliage starts out purple-red and ages to bronze-maroon. Bright pinkish-red flowers contrast perfectly with the dark foliage. Fruit is persistent, so the birds will make it disappear without a mess on the ground. As outstanding as those features are, perhaps its best selling point is that it is extremely disease resistant. We have a dozen of them planted in a row across from the Barn, and we never have had to spray them to control disease. It grows 20' tall and 15' wide, and is hardy to Zone 4.
