Hydrangea p. Quick Fire® #3

Quick Fire® is the first panicle hydrangea to bloom, usually by July 4 here in northern Illinois. Flowers open a beautiful pure white, then start turning pink on their way to dark rosy pink in fall. As with most Hydrangeas, morning sun and afternoon shade is best. However, grouped plantings of panicle hydrangeas in full sun can be spectacular when watered well throughout the dry season! Unlike most other panicle hydrangeas, Quick Fire also has excellent gold and burgundy fall foliage color. It grows 6-8' tall and wide. Prune back by a third in early spring to control size if desired. Hardy to Zone 3.
