Ulmus x Accolade™ #10

Ulmus x 'Morton' (a hybrid cross between Ulmus japonica and Ulmus wilsoniana) is the real name of this tree, but it is generally marketed and sold under the name Accolade®. It is a vase shaped, medium to large, deciduous elm that typically grows to 50-60' tall and 25-40' wide. It has excellent resistance to Dutch elm disease, elm leaf miner and elm leaf beetle. It is also noted for its vigorous growth, glossy dark green foliage, and good yellow fall color. We have had two planted here at the Gardens for several years (as of 2022), and they have done very well. Hardy to Zone 4.
