Weigela My Monet Purple Effect® #2

New energy for an old favorite! 

My Monet Purple Effect® produces a burst of rich, pink flowers in spring, followed by attractive green, cream and purple (as opposed to pink) foliage on a tidy mound.  Pruning is rarely needed, but prune out any occasional shoot that reverts to all green. Purple effect® has more flowers, better adaptability and is slightly larger than My Monet®. It will handle full sun, but may burn around the edges in late summer if it's not irrigated. Afternoon shade is best, where it will grow 2-3' tall and wide. Hardy to Zone 4.
