Malus 'Jonathan' #7

This late ripening variety produces bright, fire engine red apples that have an incredibly well-balanced flavor. They are tart, but not too tart. They are sweet, but not too sweet like its pollinator, Red Delicious. These apples are great for eating right off the tree, cooking, freezing or for feeding the deer. With a great shelf life, jonathans will keep well in the refrigerator for up to 6 months. Pollinator include red delicous, yellow delicious or early harvest. This semi-dwarf tree prefers full sun, grows to 12-15' tall and wide and is hardy to Zone 4.
