Like most Ginkgos, Goldspire™ turns to a brilliant yellow in fall before it drops all of its leaves at once. What sets Goldspire™ apart is its much smaller size in both height and width. Its habit is columnar, only reaching 5-6' wide and 14-16' tall. The large, fan-shaped, lobed leaves persist on trees much longer after they turn yellow, allowing for a prolonged color show. Goldspire™ is tolerant of urban settings and many other environmental stresses making for a specimen that's tough as nails. Full sun is best, but it will tolerate some shade. It is hardy to Zone 4.
