This aptly named white spruce cultivar has very short, greenish-blue needles and dense branching that gives this pyramidal tree a full, rounded habit. Small reddish brown cones contrast with the cooling blue, fine textured foliage. Tough and compact, this moderate grower makes a refined focal point for the woodland garden and shines even when space is limited and winters are harsh. Originally found as a sport on P. glauca ‘Echiniformis’ by Bob Fincham at Mitsch Nursery in Aurora, Oregon. Garden size is listed as 10' tall and 8' wide. Grow in full sun. Hardy to Zone 3.
