Drifts of small white flowers cover the dense habit of Spiraea nipponica 'Snowmound' in May and June. Fine, dark blue-green leaves cover the 6 ft tall and wide mound the rest of the season. This deer resistant shrub grows well in moist, but well drained, soil in full to part sun. 'Snowmound' is hardy to Zone 4.
