Kieffer pear trees are extremely tough trees that produce extremely tasty pears. The large yellow fruits are known for their crisp, juicy white flesh with a coarse texture. The fruits are not only tasty to us humans, but they're also a favorite among our white tail deer population. Some hunters plant them on their property to attract more deer. This disease resistant, vigorous growing tree will eventually reach 20' tall and wide, but it's average size is 15' tall and 10' wide. Grows in full sun and is hardy to Zone 4.
