One of our favorite native trees, Black Gum delivers one of the brightest fall color displays of any tree on the market. Dark green foliage turns intensely bright red. Grows in sun to part shade. Adaptable to all soil conditions ranging from heavy and wet to sandy and dry. Its habit can vary greatly depending on site and soil conditions. Grows to 30-60' tall with a spread of 30-50' wide. Hardy to Zone 5.
