This dwarf river birch is also known as Fox Valley®. The dwarf size and the cinnamon and cream exfoliating bark make for a great tree for smaller landscapes. It grows in a rounded shape, best in full sun. Garden size is listed as 8-10' tall and wide. We know from experience that it eventually gets taller than that, perhaps 15' tall and wide in time. It's generally grown as a multi-stemmed tree, but can be pruned into a single stem. Hardy to Zone 4.
