Just as the name suggests, Blushing Bride produces pure white, semi-double flowers which mature to soft pink or Carolina blue, depending on soil pH. The flowers are in the form of big white balls. Great in the garden and perfect as a cut flower and in hydrangea bouquets. Best located in afternoon shade. In order to get early blooms from old wood, dump a bag of mulch in the middle of the plant in November and mound it up to protect some lower buds. Remove the mulch in spring with danger of freeze has passed. Cut the stems back to viable buds in spring. Generally grows 3-4' tall and wide. Hardy to Zone 5.
