Spicy-sweet pink flowers in early May are strongly fragrant. This deer resistant and shade tolerant shrub is excellent as a specimen or hedge. Autumn brings an outstanding display of bright red foliage. Berries are produced in the fall if there is another carlesii type viburnum in the neighborhood. Trim to shape after flowering, if desired. Grows 6-7' tall and wide and is hardy to Zone 4.
