Styrax japonicus, a.k.a. Japanese Snowbell, is a compact flowering tree that features pendulous, long-stalked bell-shaped, mildly fragrant, light pink flowers with showy yellow stamens. It's no surprise that it is closely related to Halesia (Silverbell). The branches spread out horizontally and tend to weep at maturity. No serious insect or disease problems. Grows 10-20' tall and wide in Full Sun/Part Shade. Hardy to Zone 5.
