Common Name: Red Hot Poker
This bicolor variety has tangerine orange buds that open to creamy white flowers. Plant in full sun. Grows 30-36" tall and 24-30" wide. Hardy to Zone 5.

The spiky flowers and upright habit gives a unique drama to your landscape, with rebloom extending the color late into the season. Grass-like foliage provides textural contrast to bold-leaved perennials, like Hibiscus. We recommend providing some extra protection to get any kniphofia through the winter. Leave the foliage alone to catch leaves, or even sprinkle some straw over the clump in November.
Commonly called Red Hot Poker or Torch Lily for their tall flower spikes. These South Africa natives offer tremendous garden value by combining grass-like foliage with tall flower scapes. An excellent perennial for the middle of the border.
