Common Milkweed is the #1 host plant for Monarch caterpillars. Fragrant pink flowers appear in midsummer. This native is easy to grow and fast to establish. It will spread if seed pods are left to open. Grows 3-4' tall and 8-12" wide in full sun. Tolerates dry conditions and is deer resistant. Hardy to Zone 3.
