This New England Aster has bright purple fall flowers. A common wildflower; one of the largest and prettiest in the genus. The flowers are excellent for cutting. Attracts butterflies, bees and parasitic wasps. Deer resistant and drought tolerant, once established. Grows in full sun, 3-4' tall and 2-3' wide. Hardy to Zone 3.
