Dwarf Crested Iris is a native plant with small blue flowers. Makes a great filler in between hostas and other shade plants. Bright blue flowers only 6" tall cover the patch in late spring. It spreads slowly by rhizomes, but is easy to control, being fairly shallow rooted. Plant in partial sun to shade. Hardy to Zone 3.
