Astilbe 'Delft Lace' #1+

The reddish stems of 'Delft Lace' bear open panicles of delicate peach-pink flowers in early summer. The deep blue-green waxy foliage has a  silver overlay with red highlights. Grows 24-36 inches. Hardy to Zone 4.

Most information given out about Astilbes indicates that they can grow in full sun to full shade. However, they need lots of moisture, and when they get dry, their tops quickly turn crispy, sacrificing the tops to save the roots. For that reason, we recommend a shady location. A bit of morning sun will result in better blooming. And a mulch will help hold in the moisture. Just don't let them dry out.
