Acer sh. Moonrise™ #10

Moonrise™ has emerging leaves of bright red, orange and salmon which overlay the lime yellow to green tones of older leaves throughout spring and well into summer. Then, the foliage turns lime green to golden yellow, depending on how much sun it gets. Lots of morning sun will bring out the yellow, but some afternoon shade will prevent scorching, although this variety is touted as more sun tolerant than most Japanese maples. Mulch the ground around the tree to help conserve moisture. The tree grows into an upright, oval shape, up to 18' tall and 10' wide. Hardy to Zone 5.
