'Minuta' is wonderful near the front of the perennial be or wherever you want a lovely, low growing evergreen. It is one of the smallest of the dwarf white pines and forms a dense, rounded mound of bluish-green needles. The candles are profuse and attractive. Makes a great addition to any garden. Likes full to mostly sun. Ten year size is listed as 2' tall and 2.5' wide. It will get a bit larger than that with maturity, but won't outgrow most situations. Hardy to Zone 4.
There is a nice specimen planted just east of the house at Hornbaker Gardens. It was planted around 2010.
