'Manhattan' is a good choice for a fast growing hedge or informal screen. It takes well to shearing. The foliage is lush, dense and dark green. Inconspicuous flowers in summer produce small, attractive, pink ornamental fruit in the fall. Plant in full sun. Left unpruned, it can grow 6' tall or perhaps up to 8' tall, and 5' wide. Hardy to Zone 5.
