Acer p. 'Mikawa yatsubusa' #10

The green leaves of this multi-branched, compact cultivar grow closely together and overlap one another like shingles on a roof, producing a dense leaf cover on a sculptural, nearly spherical form. In fall, brilliant fiery red and darker red leaves create a dramatic show. Ideal in a small space, courtyard or near water. Grows 6' tall and 4' wide in 10 years and will continue to slowly grow with age. Grows in full sun to partial shade and is hardy to Zone 5.
