Forest Fire® is an outstanding selection of native black tupelo, chosen for its exceptionally vivid and reliable red fall color and improved, symmetrical form. Glossy green leaves create a refined summer canopy before transforming to intense shades of scarlet and crimson in autumn, often earlier and more consistently than the species. In spring, small, inconspicuous flowers provide nectar for pollinators, followed by blue-black fruits on female trees that are highly valued by birds. Adaptable to sun or part shade, Forest Fire® prefers moist, well-drained soils but becomes more tolerant of dry conditions once established. With strong structure, excellent longevity, and high wildlife value, it is an excellent choice for specimen planting, naturalized landscapes, and large residential settings.
