Geranium 'Dark Roast' is an American Beauties native selection. Fuschia petals with white throats bloom in spring and sit atop a mass of dark burgundy foliage. It provides a good source of early season nectar for butterflies and native bees. It is best grown in part shade, where its clump forming habit and deer resistance make it a good groundcover in the woodland garden. Grows well in dry shade under hardwood trees, which is a difficult growing location.
