Weigela f. 'Red Prince' #5

'Red Prince' is a multi-stemmed, upright shrub that can grow 6-9' tall and wide. It can be kept more compact by pruning back after the spring flowering is done. The bright red flowers are tubular and attract hummingbirds. Best flowering occurs in full sun. It occasionally reblooms in late summer or early fall, but with a lesser abundance of flowers. Makes a good hedge. No serious insect or disease problems. Hardy to Zone 4.
