The Tri-Color Beech looks like it's blooming in the spring because the margins of the maroon leaves glow an intense pink. By summer, the leaves have turned to bronzed green with creamy margins. This slow grower, when grown in full sun, develops an oval crown. As an understory tree in some shade, it has an irregular, ornamental habit as it reaches for sunlight. Grows to 45' tall and 30' wide. Hardy to Zone 5.
