Hydrangea p. 'Limelight' #5

'Limelight' has become a time tested classic and one of the most popular hydrangeas available. Huge, football-shaped flowers open in an elegant celadon green, then go through a bright white stage before aging to an array of pink, red and burgundy which persists through the frost for months of irresistible flowers.  As with most Hydrangeas, morning sun and afternoon shade is best. That being said, if watered well throughout the dry season, grouped plantings of panicle hydrangeas in full sun can be spectacular! Can be pruned back by a third in early spring to control size if desired. Makes good cut or dried flowers. Will grow 6-8' tall and wide. Hardy to Zone 3.
