A gold-centered, blue-margined sport of 'Halcyon' developed in England. 'June' is consistently at the top of the popularity polls and was Hosta of the Year for 2001. The yellow centers of the leaves can become quite bright if the clump is sited in some morning sun. The leaves have beautiful blue margins and a bluish overlay in spring, and just keep getting more beautiful as spring progresses into summer. Just like 'Halcyon' and 'First Frost', 'June' looks great late into the season. Grows 16" tall and 36" wide. Lavender flowers in summer.
'June' is one of our "go to" hostas, along with 'First Frost' and 'Halcyon'. These three "sister" hostas go great together because they have the same look as far as leaf shape and clump size go, and they share that outstanding powder blue color. Plus they hold up well all season.
