Syringa v. 'Sensation' #3

In mid-spring this lilac explodes into fragrant, single purple blossoms with distinct white margins. Like many other lilacs, Sensation tolerates a range of soil types, drought and urban pollution. Its tough as nails. Grows best in well drained, slightly alkaline soils in full sun to part shade. It needs some space, as it will reach a mature height of 12' while spreading out to 8' wide. Hardy to Zone 3.
