European Beech makes a striking purple-leaved, columnar accent plant. Vigorous growth but with a refined, compact habit. The copper-red spring foliage turns dark purple for the rest of the season, and is nicely ruffled. Grows 25-35' tall and 8-12' wide. Hardy to Zone 5.
