Ground Hug® (sometimes listed as Ground Hog®) is a tough native shrub that grows as a dense goundcover with white flowers in spring and dark purple berries for birds in the fall. The shiny, dark green foliage turns to orange and red colors in the fall. Tolerant of most any soil conditions, it transforms difficult areas into beautiful, low maintenance plantings. It grows 8-14" tall, and gradually spreads up to 3'. It's great for erosion control and weed suppression, growing in full sun to part shade. Deer tend to leave it alone, too. This durable plant is hardy to Zone 3.
