#3

The sturdy branches of this spreading Mountain Hemlock reach out horizontally and soft, short blue needles make the branches look like fine blue bottlebrushes. An unusual low profile and striking year-round color make this choice conifer very desirable. Give it plenty of moisture, excellent drainage, and protection from hot, dry conditions, so it is usually best in afternoon shade. Garden size is 3' tall and 6' wide. Hardy to Zone 5.
