#1

'Blue Moon' is an outstanding blue form of native Woodland Phlox. Loads of fragrant, five-petaled, dark blue flowers float above compact, medium green foliage. The plant wanders through the shade garden less like a groundcover and more like a beautiful patchwork quilt. Grows best in humus rich, shady areas. Grows 12-18" tall and spreads slowly by rhizomes. Trim back after bloom, if desired. Hardy to Zone 3.
