'Schoodic' (pronounced skoo-dik') is an exceptional, dense, ground-hugging native Jack Pine that was found on Schoodic Peninsula in Maine. Use the spreading, low-growing conifer with short, emerald green needles to drape down a bank or sprawl over boulders or challenging sites. It's extremely hardy and adaptable, tolerating heat, cold, and dry, sandy or poor soils. Grows in full sun. Garden size is 2' tall and 4' wide. Hardy to Zone 2.
