The blooms of Zinfin DollĀ® turn the deepest red of any of the white-turning-pink/red hydrangeas we have seen. Mophead flowers start pure white, and then go through a fantastic transformation to pink and then deep red, providing over three months of great color. As with any tree hydrangea, you may want to stake the trunk for a few years until the trunk thickens up. Prune back the head by at least one-third, especially in the early years to keep the plant from being too top-heavy. This ornamental tree with eventually grow 8-10' tall and 5-6' wide. It can handle a lot of sun, but some afternoon shade will make the blooms retain their beauty longer. Very hardy to Zone 3.
