Sedum 'Bright Idea' has a rounded, mounding habit that is covered in bright yellow, star-shaped flowers from early to mid-summer. Red stems hold deep green, serrated leaves for an attractive mound of foliage even when not in bloom. 'Bright Idea' grow to a height of 10-12 inches with a spread of 16-20 inches and is hardy to Zone 3. This tough perennial is perfect for hot, dry areas and should be grown in full sun to light shade in average to poor soil that is well-drained.
