A compact shrub with rounded shape, covered with vibrant lavender pink flowers in spring. Dark green, glossy, leathery foliage takes on red-purple hues in fall and then remains on plant all winter. Best in afternoon shade and acid soil. It helps to spray the foliage with Wilt Pruf in November. Grows 4-5' tall and 3-5' wide. Hardy to Zone 4.
