Acer p. 'Sharp's Pygmy' #6

This naturally compact seedling selection is an outstanding miniature maple. The dense, rounded shrub is covered with small, green, palmate leaves with coarse margins from spring through summer; in fall, dramatic red leaves give way to a great branch structure for winter. Very versatile, 'Sharp's Pygmy' thrives in the container, the courtyard, patio bed, or for bonsai culture. Grows 4' tall and 4' wide in 10 years and will slowly get larger with age. Best in afternoon shade. Hardy to Zone 5.
