Lemon thyme is mainly grown for its culinary uses, but its quite ornamental as well. It can be used to flavor vegetables, poultry, seafood, marinades, soups, dressings, sauces and more. A few sprigs make a great garnish. Grows 6" tall and up to 24" wide, making for a beautiful carpet of tiny green leaves with yellow margins. Plant in your garden or into a container where its aroma can be better appreciated. Thyme does not like wet feet, so be sure wherever it gets planted has well drained soil. This easy to grow herb prefers full sun and is hardy to Zone 5.
