Hydrangea s. Tuff Stuff® Ah-Ha® #3

Mountain hydrangeas (serrata type) bloom more reliably than big leaf hydrangeas (macrophylla type). Tuff Stuff Ah Ha® sports beautiful lacecap flowers of blue or reddish pink, depending on soil acidity. It blooms on both old and new wood, so you get a nice show from early summer through frost. The best site would be where it gets morning sun and afternoon shade. Don't prune at all, except to remove any dead wood in early spring. It grows 2-3' tall and wide, and is hardy to Zone 5.
